About Us
Columbia Cemetery is the oldest cemetery in Columbia, Mo. It was established in 1820 as a common burying ground even before the city of Columbia was incorporated, making Columbia Cemetery the oldest business in Columbia.
In 2007, we became one of the few cemeteries in Missouri to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The cemetery is owned by the Columbia Cemetery Association, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the sale and perpetual care of the burial sites within the cemetery grounds, and managed by Columbia Cemetery Management. Donations are tax deductible.
