Welcome to Columbia Cemetery
Established in 1820, Columbia Cemetery covers nearly 35 acres on the western edge of downtown Columbia, Missouri.
With its entrance on Broadway next to Grant Elementary School, the cemetery sits on a hilltop of mature trees overlooking the University of Missouri and downtown Coumbia.
The cemetery's professional staff live on site and help dozens of families every year with pre-need planning and at-need burial services, while taking meticulous care of the cemetery grounds.
Today, more than 200 years after its founding, Columbia Cemetery is still fulfilling its early mission of providing affordable burial options and the highest quality of perpetual care for future generations. It remains one of the city's cultural treasures, combining a rich tradition of local history with the most current interment practices carried out with dignity and the highest standard of care.
Whether you're a history buff looking to reconnect with the past, a visitor looking for a peaceful setting to enjoy an afternoon or an individual in need of our planning and burial services, we invite you to come visit us. You'll find a place to mourn loved ones, seek inspiration and solace, and celebrate life.
